Canongate acquires World rights to Quicksand Tales by Keggie Carew

Simon Thorogood, Editorial Director at Canongate, has acquired World rights from Patrick Walsh at PEW Literary to Keggie Carew’s Quicksand Tales.

Quicksand Tales is a wonderful collection of stories of embarrassing, awkward, uncomfortable, regrettable, funny and all-too-relatable moments from Keggie’s life. Thorogood said ‘All of Keggie’s considerable writerly skills are on display in this funny, moving and occasionally poignant quasi-memoir. Her writing here puts me in mind of a female David Sedaris or Geoff Dyer. I’m so pleased that Keggie has come to Canongate with this book.’

Keggie Carew is the author of Dadland, which won the Costa Book Awards 2016 in the Biography category.
