1863-1930. Neil Munro is a much-loved and well-known Scottish writer. Born in poor circumstances in Inveraray, he rose to become a respected and popular writer. Described as ‘the apostolic successor of Sir Walter Scott’, his writing covered journalism, travel, humour, history and historical romance.
