Annie Macmanus

Annie Macmanus is an internationally renowned broadcaster, author and DJ. She presented the flagship new music show on BBC Radio 1 for seventeen years before leaving to concentrate on writing. Since then she has written two critically acclaimed novels, the Sunday Times bestselling Mother Mother and The Mess We’re In, whose rights have been bought for adaptation by It’s All Made Up Productions, the Liverpool-based company who produced Adolescence. Her writing has featured in the Guardian, Irish Times and Independent and she writes regularly for her Substack, Changes With Annie Macmanus.
