In a few words
The first of CSA Word’s popular women’s short story collections.
An outstandingly good and very unusual collection.
[Harriet Walter] has an excellent dramatic sense.
More about
the book
This selection of stories relates the many experiences and complexities of womanhood; sometimes joyful, sometimes sad but always enriching. With stories by Edith Wharton, Katherine Mansfield and Elizabeth Gaskell – it includes Ladies in Lavender by William J. Locke, the inspiration for the film of the same name starring Judi Dench and Maggie Smith.
Narrated by Harriet Walter, a popular British actress whose movie and tv credits include Atonement, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Netflix’s The Crown.
CSA Word's collections of stories 'by or about women' are consistently fascinating.
